Pearl's come in a range of colors from pinkish white to black. They are available in the typical round shape or as mabe's ( larger half moon shape) or freshwater ( longer, narrower shape). Pearl's have become the symbol of modesty and purity. They have also come to symbolize loyalty and a happy marriage.
