The Tuskegee XL from Sturhling Original is a whopping 11mm larger than the original Tuskegee. It is a simple at a glance timepiece with with classic three hand movement and date. The watch features large Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, and 9 o'clock positions with a date box at the 6 o'clock and stick markings at all other positions with Stuhrling Original below the twelve and Manhattan style hands and arrow tipped seconds hands. The case as well as the screw in caseback, crown, buckle and rotor is stainless steel. Constructed of the finest 316L sugical grade stainless steel this simple yet rugged timepiece is water resistant to 50 meters. The engine that powers the Tuskegee is a mechanical self winding movement, through the screwed in exhibition caseback you can see the engine decorated magnificently with Cotes de Geneve, Perlage and Damier finished rotor with the Stuhrling Original logo.

The watches I wanted were on sale at amazon and I contacted Dream to see if they could beat the price. They did so by a considerable amount, and allowed me to take advantage of their overnight shipping promotion. Good, honest, and non-automated or outsourced e-mail communication followed by prompt shipping. At 5:30pm, having received the UPS tracking info, I realized I had messed up my zip code -- I switched two numbers. I called Dream and they tracked down the truck taking the day's packages to the shipping center and applied a new label. Watches arrived by 10am the next day, new in box with all documentation, all stickers (i.e. protective ones on the back and face) in place, obviously factory-fresh. So not only was the price here considerably less than amazon, I received personalized customer service to resolve the zip code error I made -- something that Amazon would not be able to do because of its huge size and the way it encourages the use of standardized electronic forms to resolve all customer service issues. In other words, this is a reliable business and a good site -- as well as a business with heart. -- Michael
