Since the inception of auto races many a timemaker has dedicated their timepieces to the romance of this pastime, now in honor of the Centennial Celebration of one of the first known organized races, Stuhrling Original enters the race with Targa Series!! In keeping with the extraordinary demands of the race every aspect of Targa has been given consideration for durability, toughness and precision of engineering.
The Targa's case measures a whopping 47mm, the largest case in Stuhrling's history. Beginning with its engine, the Targa Elite is fitted with the one of the most reliable chronograph movements available in watch-making: the Citizen-Miyota OS20. One of the most reliable quartz movements, this engine features a center-stop seconds hand, 60-minute sub-dial (at the nine oclock position), a twenty-four hour indicator (sub-dial at three oclock position), and a quick-set date complication (at the six oclock position)!Just like the motor cars that compete in the race, the Targa Elites engine is well protected. This extraordinary timepiece is safeguarded with a casing that is milled from solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel andis Black PVD plated with a massive domed Krysterna crystal.Noticable attention was also given to styling. The dial has been hydraulically pressed to create multiple levels, the mirror stick hour markers, luminous hour and minute hands, with seconds in white around the dial and a tachymeter on the flange, with kris cut mill work on theBlackPVDbezel for intricate styling!. The signature Sthrling S has been cleverly incorporated to the design as the center of the sixty-minute counter sub-dial at the nine oclock position.
