In addition to its striking presence, the Chernabog represents a first for Stührling Original: This is the first “pure mechanical” watch in Stührling Original history! The Chernabog is watch-making the old-fashioned way…you must manually wind the crown to keep it running; but have no fear, the spectacular 17-jewel mechanical engine that powers this demon can hold forty hours of power reserve on its large mainspring.
The watch features a case of solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel plated with 23K yellow gold plating. Through the crystal one can plainly see all the inter-workings of the movement as it is completely exposed. There is no dial. The steadfast movement has been exceedingly skeletonized and decorated brilliantly with hand-engraved scrollwork on whatever remaining surface areas exist. Looking like a creature right out of 1940, this mechanical movement is the type and size that was used in pocket watches of that era. And if you think Chernabog is memorable from the front, just flip it over and take a look from the back! The view from behind is truly majestic; laced with scrollwork and dotted by blued steel screws and ruby jewels. The watch comes with a 26mm strap and an extra large buckle with Stuhrling signature logo.
